Examining Romans 8:12-17, the sermon looked at the amazing gift of believers have of being drawn into and sharing the love relationship between God the Father and God the Son.

In the fourth session of Saint Patrick’s Confirmation Preparation Class, Peter White, member of Saint Patrick’s and graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary, teaches on the 10 Commandments. First, Peter demonstrates how the commandments are rooted in God’s gracious acts on behalf of his people. This tells us that God’s grace comes first and obedience how we show gratitude for his gracious gift. Second, Peter walks through each of the commandments examining how each one shapes Christian love.

In the third session of Saint Patrick’s Confirmation Preparation Class, Matt Purmort, member of Saint Patrick’s and Director of Cross Anglican Fellowship (a campus ministry at the University of Kentucky), teaches on prayer. In the first half of the session Matt explains the unique Anglican ethos of prayer rooted in the Book of Common Prayer and the praying of the Daily Office. In the second half he walks through the meaning and use of the Lord’s Prayer.
